Cette composition franche et provocatrice, sans visage, ni de bras, ni m\u00eame de jambes \u2013 juste un sexe de femme \u2013 ORLAN <strong>va constituer pour l&#8217;artiste &nbsp;le d\u00e9but d&#8217;un travail<\/strong>. En 1989, elle pr\u00e9sente l\u2019Origine de la guerre, pendant f\u00e9ministe l\u2019\u0153uvre de Courbet : une photographie de l\u2019organe masculin en \u00e9rection, reprenant fid\u00e8lement le format et l\u2019image du cadre. Pour l\u2019artiste, cet organe masculin, symbole du pouvoir souverain et de la virilit\u00e9, n\u2019est pas seulement \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la guerre entre les sexes, il est aussi le g\u00e9n\u00e9rateur d\u2019une violence plus universelle. La guerre et la violence toujours pr\u00e9sentes dans le monde actuel a incit\u00e9 ORLAN a pr\u00e9senter une seconde version de l\u2019Origine de la guerre (2023). Depuis les ann\u00e9es 1960, l\u2019artiste n\u2019a eu de cesse de d\u00e9noncer la violence faite au corps, surtout celui des femmes. Rencontre.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"intBlockQR\">\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__Q\"><p>Pourquoi avoir choisi L\u2019origine du monde de Courbet comme point de d\u00e9part \u00e0 votre \u0153uvre L\u2019Origine de la guerre ?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__R\"><p>Parce que L\u2019origine du monde de Courbet est un tableau digne d&#8217;un tueur en s\u00e9rie, extr\u00eamement sadique avec la femme, et j&#8217;ai voulu voir ce qui se passait lorsqu\u2019on faisait la m\u00eame chose \u00e0 l&#8217;autre pendant de l&#8217;humanit\u00e9 : \u00e0 un homme. Je lui ai coup\u00e9 la t\u00eate, les bras et les jambes pour qu&#8217;il ne reste plus que le sexe et je l\u2019ai mis dans le m\u00eame cadre que cette \u0153uvre expos\u00e9e \u00e0 Orsay. Aujourd\u2019hui vous pr\u00e9sentez une seconde version. \u2028Pourquoi avoir fait une nouvelle \u0153uvre et quel est son message\u00a0?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__R\"><p>\u00c7a me paraissait vraiment n\u00e9cessaire de refaire cela, parce que c&#8217;est une version que j&#8217;ai faite en 1989, et je voulais en refaire une autre \u00e0 l&#8217;heure actuelle, en rapport avec les hommes, la guerre, l&#8217;Ukraine et bien d&#8217;autres endroits\u2026 On se demande vraiment qui fabrique des hommes avec des intentions aussi mauvaises et gr\u00e9gaires. Pourquoi les hommes tuent-ils encore, battent et violent-ils les femmes\u00a0? J&#8217;ai donc absolument voulu prendre position en re-fabriquant une origine de la guerre en posant la question : &#8220;Qu&#8217;est-ce qui se passe quand on a ce morceau de chair, ce morceau entre les jambes ?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"intBlockQR\">\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__Q\"><p>Est-ce un tableau \u00e0 charge contre les hommes\u00a0?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__R\"><p>Non, pas contre tous\u00a0: il y a bien s\u00fbr des hommes extraordinaires. Je suis f\u00e9ministe, mais j&#8217;adore les belles personnes, les beaux \u00eatres humains, qu&#8217;ils soient hommes ou femmes. Et il y a beaucoup d&#8217;hommes qui ne harc\u00e8lent pas, qui ne gueulent pas, qui ne battent pas, qui ne tuent pas, qui ne violent pas : ceux-ci, je les aime.\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"intBlockQR\">\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__Q\"><p>Quel autre regard portez-vous sur cette \u0153uvre de Gustave Courbet ?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <div class=\"intBlockQR__R\"><p>\u2028Je ne mets pas en doute les qualit\u00e9s de peintre de Courbet, comme je ne remets pas en doute les qualit\u00e9s de Picasso quand je fais Les femmes qui pleurent sont en col\u00e8re.
